IAC Conference 2016 information
Held in partnership with the Malta Association for the Counselling Profession (MACP) and the Department of Counselling, within the Faculty for Social Wellbeing at the University of Malta, the IAC 2016 Conference will take place between the 7th July - 11th July 2016. The Conference will take place at the Dolmen Resort Hotel, Qawra.
PARTICIPANTS
Our conference is open to Counsellors and kindred professionals including: Psychotherapists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Educators, Students, Researchers, Mental health and Educational Professionals, as well as anyone who feels they can contribute to or benefit from attending.
CONFERENCE FEES
The full conference fee covers the conference attendance, opening ceremony (Thursday 7th July) and all lunches and coffees during the event. Fees do not include accommodation, pre-conference workshops or social events. Accommodation must be booked separately and participants are urged to book early to ensure availability. Please note that the conference registration fee and all other expenses incurred to attend are the responsibility of the presenter(s). All conference presenters must register for at least the day of their presentation. Workshop leaders are not required to register for the day of their workshop.
Student ID will be required at the Registration Desk.
CERTIFICATES
Certificates of attendance will be given to participants at the end of the Conference.
NAME TAGS
All participants and exhibitors are kindly requested to wear their Conference name tags, in order to be admitted to the event.
LIABILITIES AND INSURANCE
The organiser is not responsible for injuries or damages of personal properties during the Conference. Upon registration, the participant accepts this provision.
LANGUAGE
The Conference will be conducted in English.

WEATHER
July is one of the hottest months of the year in Malta, and tends to be the driest and the sunniest month. At this time of the year, the average temperature for the island rises from 25°C at the start of the month, all the way up to 27°C in the final few days. Daily highs increase in the same fashion, rising from 30°C to 31°C, whilst daily lows also rise from 21°C to 23°C throughout the month. The sea temperature is an average of 23°C.

BY TAXI
The average cost of a taxi from the airport to the hotel is €30 we recommend Zarb Taxi's who have one of the lowest rates @ 17.50 (one-way) 30.00 (return).
