For more than thirteen years she has been working as a science journalist, aiming to raise public awareness of mental health issues. She has also been working as a certified counsellor in therapeutic and expressive writing. Through writing tools, Dimitra helps people to bring balance to their lives and increase self- awareness. She works a lot with women, especially those who are in a transition phase of their lives.

She's the founder of an institute called "PSY-CHE" (www.empowerpsyche.org), which offers mental well-being services, including workshops, seminars, individual sessions and a web magazine about psychology issues, called “Psycho-grafimata” (www.psychografimata.com).

When not working online, she grounds herself and finds balance between virtual and real life, by facilitating workshops which take place in nature, as she believes that it’s a way to come closer to our authentic self and listen to our inner voice.

Her studies include a degree in psychology, a Master of Science in Media Psychology, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Therapeutic Writing, a Certificate in Philosophical Counseling and Psychotherapy and other training in the fields of journalism and psychology.

She's a published writer of two books and many short stories.
